Medical temperature monitoring system for Healthcare
GPs, hospitals, pharmacies, research facilities and more....
Why choose RemoteM?
Department of Health guidelines state that refrigerators used to store medicines and vaccines must be kept at a temperature between +2 and +8⁰C, minimising the risk of compromising the efficacy and safety of the products. In addition, accurate and legible records of temperature monitoring must be maintained for audit purposes.
RemoteM is a wireless refrigerator temperature monitoring system for GP surgeries and other healthcare environments, enabling users to comply with all medicine storage requirements. It eliminates the potential for compromising the safety of such medicines and the resultant costly waste and disruption.
Processes are guided by the four Rs
Read
Fridge temperatures must be read at least once a day, logging current, maximum and minimum temperature readings.
RemoteM takes readings every 10 minutes (or more frequently if required), 24/7.
Record
Temperatures must be logged and records retained.
RemoteM logs temperatures automatically and transmits data to the cloud, where it is accessible via an online dashboard.
Reset
Temperature accuracy must be cross-checked and equipment monitored to ensure electricity supply to the medical refrigerators is not interrupted.
RemoteM can identify power failures and alert users in real time.
React
In the event of any fluctuation outside set temperature parameters, RemoteM alerts users via voice all, email or SMS, ensuring the safety of medicines is not compromised.
RemoteM alerts users via voice all, email or SMS, ensuring the safety of medicines is not compromised.
How RemoteM works
The sensing device is placed inside the refrigerator. It maintains a constant record, logging temperature data at regular intervals 24 hours a day, seven days a week, sending this to the cloud via a base station.
Data is then available in real time on the cloud platform, allowing users to access and analyse this remotely. The system generates immediate SMS, email and voice call notifications in the event of issues and power outages that may put valuable stock at risk.
- RemoteM supports portable communication for cold chain / stock in transit
- Most non-refrigerated medicines must be stored at less than 25°C; RemoteM system parameters can be set to match any application, including monitoring ambient temperature areas where medicines are stored
- RemoteM can be used to monitor stock in transit, ensuring vaccines and other vulnerable medicines are maintained under cold chain conditions during transportation
Key points
- RemoteM ensures medicines, vaccines and tissue samples are kept within the range specified in the Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC) (+2 to +8 °C, +15 to +25 °C)
- RemoteM provides alerts if the power fails and keeps logging temperature throughout
- Most non-refrigerated medicines must be stored at less than 25°C; RemoteM system parameters can be set to match any application, including monitoring temperatures in ambient areas where medicines are stored
- RemoteM is easy to install, requiring no cabling
- It does not rely on the practice's Internet connection / WiFi
- Internal battery backup - does not rely on mains power supply
- Temperature records from different practices can be viewed and reported upon from single (or multiple) devices
- The online dashboard allows data to be exported as PDF reports or to Excel
- Reports can be generated automatically in advance of inspections
- The online dashboard indicates how long vaccines / drugs have been out of specified temperature range, enabling accurate decisions to be made regarding disposal
- RemoteM can be used to monitor fridges, freezers, cold rooms, ambient storage, operating theatres and more
- The system can be used to monitor stock in transit, ensuring vaccines and other vulnerable medicines are maintained under cold chain conditions during transportation
